Advocate for yourself

Advocate for yourself

  1. Be prepared (memorize if necessary) to relate your recent accomplishments and achievements, as well as how they positively affected your work and the company.
  2. Wherever possible, quantify what you've done, e.g., "increased sales by 20 percent," "cut customer call waiting time in half," "streamlined delivery so that most customers had their job done in two days."
  3. Non-work achievement stories are good too, achievement stories make you memorable and allow you to connect in a memorable way.
